THE ROLE

The Warehouse Team Leader’s main function is to support the warehouse team’s shipping & receiving activities. Ensuring adequate materials are received and stored supporting parts and service operations. Additionally, the Warehouse Team Leader will lead and facilitate ship-out activities to our customers, vendors, and suppliers. The Warehouse Team Leader will also lead the activities involved in managing an accurate inventory. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Ensures safety training and compliance.  

  • Plan, organize, and participate in daily Warehouse operation and activities, including receiving, cycle counts, documentation, storage, safety, and maintenance of inventory. 

  • Train assigned warehouse employees; assign work to warehouse workers. 

  • Route, schedule, pack and prepare orders for delivery; load vehicles, schedule and oversee deliveries and pickups. 

  • Prepare and maintain records and logs and prepare reports as required; assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures. 

  • Assure proper and routine maintenance and service of warehouse vehicles and equipment. 

  • Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. 

  • Co-lead physical inventory. 

  • Other duties assigned.

  • Education: High School diploma or GED 

  • Experience: 1 – 2 years of responsibility warehouse and inventory management.  

  • Skills: Must display excellent sense of integrity and initiative. 

  • Excellent communication and people skills. 

  • Problem solving skills. 

  • Organizational, attention to detail and record keeping skills. 

  • Travel: None.  

  • Valid Driver’s License. 

  • A favorable background screening, physical and drug screening, and proof of work authorization in the United States is required for employment. 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to touch, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to perform in hot and cold weather conditions. 

  • Must be able to wear all required PPE including eye protection, ear protection, head protection, hand protection and any specialized protective equipment for specific jobs/tasks that are required per company safety policy. 

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.  Most of the work will be conducted outdoors and possibly during harsh weather including high and low temperatures.
